Love. I am slowly headed in the direction of falling in love. It feels inevitable, and yet I question the timeline. The question is only a whisper, and when I tune in deeper to my heart, I feel it glowing - an overarching feeling of being loving.

But how do you know when you’re “in” love? There are so many different layers of love leading up to that full immersion.

I ask myself, how long do you have to know someone before you can love them? You know, the full depth rather than a facade that might be easy to hold for small pockets of time.

Still, my heart tells me it doesn’t matter. Love defies logic. It is not slave to mathematics, time, and calculation. When you know, you know.

All of those times in the past steeped in not knowing, in waiting for the “right” moment, well - they were simply not right, nor were they pure.

Now, there is no waiting. There is no push and pull. There is no comparison of anything that came before this. We are starting from a blank slate, where there is no concept of time outside the window of right here and right now.

Is it that there is no concept of time, or perhaps that our time together is not linear? Days feel like a lifetime, and there is an unspoken knowing nestled at the base of my heart. An unspoken understanding woven into the roots of my soul.

We stand on a bridge of trust that has been effortless to connect and maintain - as if we both began building across the river of life years ago, and somehow against an infinite number of odds, aligned our compass to the exact degrees to perfectly line up.

Love. Anything but linear.

September has come, but I’m pretty sure last wee

September has come, but I’m pretty sure last week was January. Am I the only one experiencing this time warp? And yet, winter is once again around the corner…

It’s still sunny and in the 70s on the Portuguese coast, but my mind is being pulled forward to changing leaves, frozen waters, and crisp air that nips at bare cheeks.

This year, I’ve learned the importance of traveling with the seasons.

For the first time, I experienced March-May in Scandinavia, and with it I experienced the magic of ice floes for the very first time. I knew that, moving forward, this needed to be my compass to create from as the earth began to groan, expand, and wake up from a sleepy winter.

I experienced the trees bursting into the deepest shades of so many greens, saturating my vision in the color of love. I watched through my windows as splashes of color burst through the emerald backdrops.

And as I left for Portugal, I learned that summer is for surfing.

Now, as I come up to 3 months testing new waters (literally) down south, I find myself pulled to the changing of autumn leaves.

Just like the contrast between the seasons, I feel pulled between extremes and I find myself feeling that I must choose one or the other.

Portugal or Sweden?

But now, my limitations of what is possible are being lifted and questioned and challenged. What if… I don’t have to choose one or the other? What if, instead, I can have both?

Choosing one or the other comes from a place of scarcity. A believe that we can’t have it all. But why not?

It’s time to upgrade my programming, deconstruct the societal conditioning, and be the woman who says yes to having it all.

It’s time.

It was never meant to be perfect.

None of it. Ever.

I had an NFT collector look over my work a few weeks ago, and they began to pick apart all of the technicalities that weren’t perfect.

A comparison to the perfection found in studio advertising shots.

Perfection was never the goal. If you’re here for perfect, you’re in the wrong place.

I explained that I am taking all of these photos on my own. It’s me, my remote, and a tripod.

It’s me, Mother Nature, and organic playful movement.

He asked - couldn’t I ask someone to help? To come in and direct and create something more perfect?

My background is in advertising photography. Give me an assignment that requires perfection and I will execute it. I can pick apart imperfections all day - technical, aesthetic, composition, lighting, you name it.

But that’s not what this is about.

He didn’t get it. None of this has been about perfection. It isn’t about the end goal of a beautifully flawless image.

It’s about the time I spend alone in nature, nurturing the relationship that I have with my heart and my body.

Beautifully imperfect art is a byproduct of a spiritual process.

To bring someone else in and strive for perfection erases where all of this came from.

Feeling my way into what feels good, and out of wh

Feeling my way into what feels good, and out of what does not.

Over the last several weeks, I reconnected to my intuition. The conversations with the Universe.
The messages from animals.

The majority of my life here in Sweden has felt uncomfortable and challenging. I haven’t been connected to my intuition, but instead have pushed through, convincing myself: it’s supposed to be hard. You’re building a business in a foreign country during a pandemic. Suck it up. Hustle. Grind.

Because that’s what we do, we believe that it isn’t supposed to be easy.

And yesterday, for perhaps the first time in Sweden, I felt my intuition. I was asked to coach a class, said yes, and my entire day was ruined. I could feel in my body, this was a hard NO.

I haven’t been interested in coaching group classes for a while because they are exhausting and I have more important work to do. But part of me felt like I needed to spend my last weeks here doing that.

Well, that was a nice idea. But… nope.

And again, today I messaged someone about meeting. Again, this heavy sick feeling came over me. This person isn’t good for me.

I find it absolutely fascinating. Because both this kind of work and this relationship have consumed a significant amount of time and energy from my life here. And these uncomfortable pangs of intuitive hits are exactly how they’ve made me feel…. But all the time.

It’s no wonder I’ve struggled so hard in this country, when the majority of my life has been forcing myself against intuition, living in misalignment.

And so, I declare, no more. No more wasted time out of obligation or urban duty or being polite. When your learn the language you sure as hell better listen when it speaks.

Feeing in to what feels good for the next five weeks. It doesn’t have to feel good tomorrow or next week. It’s just about what feels good today, and allowing it to change as time unfolds.
